             Being a teacher is not only how we can make the student understand the lesson but a teacher must be clever in bringing the class condition. In specific being an English teacher should have tricks and tips how they students can understand the lesson well. It has been common that most of students don’t like English, their reason is almost same that English is very difficult bcause the writing and the reading are different.This thing is really important to be analyzed, if teacher can bring class to be enjoy, the students will be convenient to come to our class and unfortunately they will understand the lesson well. One thing to make them enjoy the class is by giving game for fun. Here are many kinds of games for a teacher to make your student enjoy your English class.

Spy Game


Step 1
            Divide your students into many groups (the group must be even number, e.g 1-2, 1-4, 1-6). Give a name of every groups (it can be A, B, or C, it can also name of flower or animals) and ask them to occupy their place.

Step 2
     Ask group A and B to make a line. Then choose one of them to come forward to see the questions, the question is in the form of sentence, e.g I am writing a letter right now).

Step 3
     If both of groups have already seen the sentence you can start the game by asking them to say in whisper to other friends, starting from friend in the back line then continuing to friend in the front line, if the friend in front line has known the sentence, she/he must write it on the board. If they are correct they will get point. The winner is groups who can write fast and correct in the board.

Step 4
     Continue this game by asking another group (group C and D) to come forward, if you have got the winner of every group then ask them to battle. The winner is the group who has got the highest score.

Puzzle Game


Step 1
Prepare a board, chalk or board marker, paper and pen.

Step 2
     Ask them to make a circle or line in front of board.

Step 3
     Write one word horizontal or crossword.

Step 4
     Ask them to continue by writing a word depend on the first letter of word you have written. If their word is correct ask them to write that word in their paper. The winner is student who has got many words than other friends. (e.g: you write J-A-N-U-A-R-Y, then your student write J-U-N-G-L-E crossword below letter “J”)

Step 5
     The winner is student who has got many words than other friends.

Win by Stick



       Step 1
     Prepare a piece of paper (for example origami paper), and glue.

Step 2
            Divide your students into many groups (it can be 3 or 4 groups, one group can have 4 or 5 or more students depend on the number of students you have. Give a name of every groups (it can be A, B, or C, it can also name of flower or animals) and ask them to occupy their place.

Step 3
Write the name of group in the board, then choose the captain of every group and give the captain those colorful cards (the teacher can give 5 or 6 cards or more).

Step 4
Give every group a question. If one group can answer correctly, ask them to stick the paper in the board.

Step 5
Decide the winner. The winner in this game is group who can stick more papers in the board.

Move and Go

Step 1
     Ask all of your students to make one line. And decide start floor and finish floor.

Step 2
     Pretend that a floor is their stage. Mean that, every student gets one floor and they should stand up in their own floor.

Step 3
     Start the game by giving them a statement. Then ask your students to raise their right hand if your statement is correct and ask them to raise their left hand if your statement is incorrect. If they are correct to raise their hand, they can move one step but if they answer incorrect they cannot move.

Step 4
     Decide the winner. The winner is a student who goes first to the finish floor

Stay in Line

Step 1
     Ask your studenst to make a circle or a line.

Step 2
     Give them the role of game, for example in this game the teacher should give a statement. Then ask your students to raise their right hand if your statement is correct and ask them to raise their left hand if your statement is incorrect. For those who are correct to raise their hand they can stay in line but if they answer incorrect just let them to go out from the line.

Step 3
     Decide the winner. The winner is a student who can stay in line till the end of game.

Collecting Cards

Step 1
            Divide your students into many groups (it can be 3 or 4 groups, 1 groups can have 4 or 5 or more students depend on the number of students you have.

Step 3
            Choose a captain of every group and ask the captain to come first. Then give the captain a question related to the discussion. If they can answer correctly give one card for them and ask them to come back to their place.

Step 4
            If every captain of every group has already come forward, ask another person of groups to come forward.

Step 5
            Decide the winner of every group by seeing the total of cards they can collect. A group who has collected the highest cards than other groups is the winner.
